What is Project Based Learning?

PBL is a collaborative teaching and learning experience where UTS students work in small groups under the supervision of experienced exercise science professionals to design and deliver exercise interventions for partner organisations. This approach ensures students develop practical skills that contribute to their work integrated learning opportunities within the course, and contribute meaningful outcomes to the community.

Each student group (maximum 5 students) will:

  • Evaluate your organisation’s exercise requirements
  • Conduct assessments to determine participant physical capacities
  • Develop an evidence-based exercise program aligned with identified needs
  • Deliver these programs to athletes or participants within your organisation

Projects are aligned with your organisation’s goals and supported by supervisors to ensure quality and professionalism.
