Our sport and exercise research is dedicated to providing expertise relevant to the broader community with direct practical impact. To achieve this, we have high-level engagement with other researchers as well as high performance sports teams, government organisations, schools and health professionals.
Our research looks at exercise as a panacea to a wide variety of problems relating to health and human performance. We use a multi-disciplinary approach to examining these problems and aim to provide authentic solutions that can be used to provide the evidence-base for best practice in sport, exercise and health professions.
The UTS Human Performance Research Centre is a collaborative, multi-disciplinary research centre, bringing together world-leading research, and providing leadership in sport and exercise science, health and human performance.
The centre aims to achieve its objectives via strong collaborative research programs, supported by competitive research grants, commissioned research and industry funding.
Extensive links with industry, practitioners, and local, state, national and international organisations improve the relevance, translation and impact of research, and the development of an industry ‘incubator’ program will facilitate innovative, industry-focused and funded research.
