Detailed Description
The Australian Artificial Intelligence Institute is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to perform the continuing development for theoretical foundations and technology advances for Concept Drift/Streaming Learning theory and algorithms, under an ARC Laureate project. The positions will be based at the centrally located UTS Campus in Ultimo and will report directly to Australian Laureate Professor Jie Lu.
The Australian Artificial Intelligence Institute is a world leading research institute in artificial intelligence, with a vision to develop theoretical foundations and advanced algorithms for AI, and to drive significant progress in related areas like computational intelligence, business intelligence, computer vision, data science, machine learning, brain computer interface, bioinspired neural networks and information systems.
About the role
- Take responsibility for delivering high quality research in concept draft and streaming learning
- Co-supervise PhD students in the field
- Deliver high quality results in the area of Concept drift/Streaming learning for ARC Laureate project.
- Co-supervise HDR students in the area of Concept Drift/Streaming Learning.
About you
- A PhD Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience and a high-quality publication record in the area of Concept Drift/Streaming Learning Theory and Algorithms.
- Comprehensive knowledge on Concept drift/Streaming learning and other machine learning methods.
- Ability to co-supervise PhD students.
Remuneration/Salary
Base Salary Range: $110,378 to $130,639 pa (Level B)
The role attract 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 36 months.
