The UTS Centre for Social Justice & Inclusion drives positive social change both on and beyond our campus.
We believe that universities exist for the public good and have a responsibility to use their resources and expertise to contribute to a socially just society.
While social justice is infused throughout our teaching, research and engagement, the Centre for Social Justice & Inclusion is the driving force behind many of our institution's social impact initiatives.
The UTS Social Impact Framework is our roadmap for change, and our progress is shown on the UTS Social Impact Dashboards.
Our mission
The Centre for Social Justice & Inclusion channels the resources of UTS to remove barriers to education, empower communities, increase diversity and inclusion, and advocate for social justice.
Our goals
- Drive social impact across research, education, and practice.
- Advocate for social change that contributes to public dialogue and policy.
- Collaborate widely and effectively to create a positive, sustainable future.
- Support UTS and the broader community to have the capability and agency to enact social change.
By engaging with us, UTS staff, students, and partners will better understand:
- their role in creating an inclusive and socially impactful university
- how they can contribute to the economic, social, and cultural prosperity of our society.
