We foster dialogue within organisations to generate locally relevant sustainability solutions. We work across a wide range of technical areas, with dedicated teams of experts who remain up-to-date with relevant technology, policy and engagement methods.

The interactions between people, landscapes and ecosystems determine how social-ecological systems such as cities, peri-urban and rural areas, or coastal zones, evolve and develop over time. The values and meanings that people attach to landscapes and ecosystems emerge at different scales and play out in a variety of ways in spatio-environmental decision-making.

Our areas of expertise focus on the values and meanings of a range of actors and how these may be translated to the (economic) institutions that govern ecosystems and landscapes in our time. Applications include land use planning, biodiversity conservation, landscape governance, catchment/water management and natural resource management.
