UTS Orthoptics offers coursework degrees in the area of eye therapy.
The graduate-entry Master of Orthoptics is open to people who have a UTS accepted bachelor degree in any discipline and who seek a career in eye therapy.
Graduates are eligible to register with the Australian Orthoptics Board as an orthoptist. Career options include professional practice in the field of orthoptics or pursue further scholarship through research in the field of orthoptics.
The course is 2 years duration, full-time, and comprised of 16 subjects. Clinical-based subjects will comprise 25% of the course in order to address the clinical experience requirements for registration. The course provides learning that is student-focussed and research-led, integrated with practical and clinical experience.
