  • Carl Heise: So the most important thing that MCISI has offered me in my career is an opportunity to reimagine it. What the MCISI has let me do is imagine what fabulous can look like in an office.

Danielle Handley: Through MCISI, there's been a deeper learning a greater understanding and appreciation of the thought processes and the creativity that can come together when individuals from multiple disciplines just collaborate. And so that's really made me think differently about unlocking innovation in an organisation.

Cecilia Warren: Sometimes innovation is referred to as a black box. So we shifted the metaphor from a black box to a glass box. Transparency was key. Means that anyone and everyone can bring their ideas.

Danielle: And it's been awesome to see. Because I think by making it something more tangible, framing it in something that's familiar, it makes it something safer for people to build on.

Carl: The MCISI's impact on me as a leader has taken the pressure off me to have every idea. So I think the aha moment for me with regard to the MCISI was when I learnt that I can experiment, and I don't, I don't need to have the perfect, this thing will fix everything. I can go, this may not even help but we'll be somewhere different. And that's helpful.

So there's, there's probably two really key things that we've done in terms of that senior leadership conversation around innovation. One of them is absolutely storytelling. So being really specific about storying and structuring the story. So my leadership at that point came back to that idea of that collaborative space for innovation. And how can we as a group of people that love the value of this particular innovation. How can we tell that story to the right people so that they can tell us to get on with it.

Cecilia: I think what MCISI has opened up for me personally, is really that sense of bringing who I am into a space to innovate. And by bringing who I am enabling others to bring who they are. And it does start to become something much more about all of us are human and humans innovate. So, how do we just unlock human potential and do that in a way that enables each other.

Carl: I think it's at the values level. So if you value curiosity, if you value, co anything, so if something is significant to you, because when it was created, other people were present at that moment of creation. I think that's your ideal candidate.

Cecilia: What you've got here is something that's unique. It's in Australia, and it's an amazing opportunity. So if you're thinking of doing the program, just do it. Send a couple of people, send a whole team, send groups of people along, and learn.
