The Discipline of Speech Pathology launched in 2018 in the UTS Graduate School of Health. Speech Pathology will welcome its first group of postgraduates in 2019 and there are opportunities to undertake Masters or PhD research.
As a new discipline, UTS Speech Pathology reflects the latest research and is unique in combining a strong emphasis on technology, an interprofessional approach, collaborating with the School’s six other disciplines, and is home to a world-renowned research centre – the Australian Stuttering Research Centre.
With a growing 1.2 million Australians with a communication disability, the Discipline is on a mission to produce patient-centre speech pathologists who will adapt with this evolving profession, bringing innovative practice and research to enable people with communication and feeding difficulties to have better lives.
The Master of Speech Pathology offers close interprofessional collaboration within a variety of health and education professions, including the School’s existing disciplines, to ensure that our graduates are work-ready and well-prepared for new industry developments and future growth.
