C3 Outreach Program
One of the aims of C3 is to engage the broader community in the debate about climate change. This can be achieved by helping the general public understand the complexities and ambiguities of climate change research and by explaining the types of research carried out by UTS scientists working in this important field.
Public lectures, radio programes and school visits provide C3 members with the opportunity to support educators, parents and students with objective information and sound science.
Previous outreach includes:
- Keeping the Seas Green
- Marine Microbes: The ocean's Lifeblood?
- Invasion by Land & Sea. Will Australia's iconic plant and wildlife survive foreigh invasion?
- "What will the Great Barrier Reef look like in 2050?"
- Breaking The Ice: Will we be able to live in an ice-free world?
- A Question of Balance - "Breaking the ice" 2SERFM podcast of interview with Prof Greg Skilbeck about a life with no ice
- A Question of Balance - "Sea Change(s)" 2SERFM transcripts and images from interviews with C3 researchers on coral bleaching, ocean acidification, corals and rising ocean temperatures
