Indigenous nation building matters because – whether here in Australia or internationally – when Indigenous nations organise themselves and self-govern, they are much more likely to achieve their cultural, social, political, and economic aspirations than when external parties are making decisions for them.
The Hub brings together a team of Indigenous and non-Indigenous professionals who collectively have decades of experience working with Indigenous communities in Indigenous governance and economic development, cultural heritage management, native title, human rights law, Indigenous policy, and postcolonial political philosophy.
We have a proven track record of working with Indigenous communities to create effective and culturally legitimate governing bodies and mechanisms designed by community, for community, to make and implement decisions about their own future.
