UTS Business School students enjoy a rich program of social, professional and academic activities that help you make the most of your time at university. Our Faculty-affiliated societies provide valuable opportunities to make friends, meet alumni, employers and professional associations, and build knowledge and experience beyond the formal learning environments. A wide range of sporting and special interest groups are also available to further enrich your experience at UTS.

UTS Business Society

The UTS Business Society is the central community for Business students, dedicated to enhancing the university experience through academic, professional and social engagement. BSoc provides opportunities for career development, networking, mentoring and major social events throughout the year. The Society partners with leading organisations including Deloitte, KPMG, EY, PwC, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, PKF and CAANZ to offer students exclusive industry insights and pathways. With a strong focus on supporting both personal and professional growth, BSoc creates a vibrant community that enriches student life from first year through to graduation.

MBA Nexus

MBA Nexus is the postgraduate society supporting ambitious students across all UTS Business programs—not just the MBA. The club provides high-quality networking experiences, industry engagement and skill-building events tailored to postgraduate study. Members gain access to guest speakers, panel sessions and peer networks that help them strengthen their professional identity and career pathways. MBA Nexus aims to cultivate a collaborative community where students can expand their knowledge, build confidence and make meaningful connections during their postgraduate journey.

The society offers networking opportunities, professional development workshops and community-building events designed to support members throughout their studies and into their careers. WiB fosters an inclusive environment where students can learn from industry leaders, develop practical skills and connect with like-minded peers. Recognised for its outstanding impact, WiB was awarded the 2025 ActivateUTS Club of the Year for its commitment to uplifting and advancing women in business.

Beta Alpha Psi – Accounting and Analytics (BAP)

The society supports students who want to build distinguished careers in accounting, finance or analytics.

Consulting Club

The UTS Consulting Club introduces students to management consulting through hands-on, real-world experience. Members work in small teams on pro-bono consulting projects for external clients, applying problem-solving, analytical and communication skills in a practical context. The society also provides skill-building workshops and guidance from industry professionals. Due to the intensive nature of the program, places are limited and recruitment occurs during semester orientation. The Consulting Club is ideal for students seeking applied experience and insights into the consulting profession.

Digital Marketing Society

The Digital Marketing Society creates a supportive community for students interested in digital media, social strategy and emerging marketing technologies. The club offers workshops, speaker events and practical learning experiences that help members build industry-relevant skills. Students can explore areas such as content creation, social media management, analytics and digital advertising while connecting with peers and professionals. The society welcomes students from all disciplines who want to learn more about digital marketing careers and trends.

Enactus UTS

Enactus UTS is dedicated to social entrepreneurship and using business innovation to create positive social change. Members work in teams to design and implement real projects that address community needs, develop sustainable solutions and contribute to the broader Enactus global network. The society provides opportunities to build leadership, project management and teamwork skills while working alongside students who share a passion for improving the world. Enactus UTS supports students who want to make an impact through purpose-driven business.

UTS Finance Society

The UTS Finance Society connects students interested in finance, investment and financial markets with peers, alumni and industry professionals. The club hosts workshops, panel discussions, networking events and case competitions that help members develop analytical and technical skills relevant to finance careers. Through exposure to industry insights and hands-on learning, the society supports students from all disciplines who want to explore finance pathways and build confidence in a competitive field.

Real Estate Investment Student Association (REISA)

The Real Estate Investment Student Association (REISA) helps students explore careers and concepts within property investment, development and finance. The society aims to bridge the knowledge gap between students and the real estate industry by offering learning workshops, networking opportunities and discussions with professionals. REISA welcomes students from any discipline who are curious about real estate investment and want to better understand the sector.

Sustainability Alliance of Students and Staff (SASS)

The Sustainability Alliance of Students and Staff (SASS) brings together students and staff who are passionate about environmental and sustainability issues. Founded by students in the Bachelor of Sustainability and Environment, the society promotes learning, skill development and community action in sustainability. SASS hosts workshops, panel discussions, social events and initiatives that empower students to make a positive environmental impact and engage with sustainability professionally and personally.
