For those of you who don’t have the time to spend an entire semester of your course overseas, or who may just want to explore an interesting elective option, many of UTS’s partner universities offer ‘for credit’ short-term academic study programs during their summer or winter periods. These programs are offered through Global Short Programs.

The Global Short Programs team have collaborated with selected faculties including the Business School, to develop suitable and interesting programs at our partner universities. These have all been approved for credit toward your UTS degree if eligible.

Applying for a short-term overseas partner program through UTS will give eligible students:

  • credit for study

  • access to special reduced program costs

  • complimentary UTS Insurance for the duration of the overseas program, if program requires travel

  • support from UTS throughout the application process

You may also be eligible for a range of funding options such as OS-HELP loans and Global Short Programs travel scholarships.

BUILD Leadership Program

Extend your global learning beyond travel and starting building your global mindset with UTS BUILD. BUILD (Beyond UTS International Leadership Development) is an extra-curricular global leadership program with a mission to develop self-aware, informed and active global citizens and leaders. Starting with your identity as a global citizen, the program exposes you to global issues and ideas and develops your leadership skills to deliver positive global impact. Participate in interactive workshops, learn from inspiring speakers, join field trips, community activities and much more. Include an immersive overseas experience through Global Short Programs, Global Exchange or In-Country Studies to help you put your learning into practice. All these experiences earn points towards your completion. In addition to a completion certificate, the program is recognised on your Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS).

Acknowledgement of Country

UTS acknowledges the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation and the Boorooberongal People of the Dharug Nation upon whose ancestral lands our campuses now stand. We would also like to pay respect to the Elders both past and present, acknowledging them as the traditional custodians of knowledge for these lands.
