Short Term Overseas Partner Programs
For those of you who don’t have the time to spend an entire semester of your course overseas, or who may just want to explore an interesting elective option, many of UTS’s partner universities offer ‘for credit’ short-term academic study programs during their summer or winter periods.
The UTS Study Abroad and Exchange team have collaborated with selected faculties including the Business School, to develop suitable and interesting programs at our partner universities. These have all been approved for credit toward your UTS degree.
Applying for a short-term overseas partner program through UTS will give you:
- credit for your study
- access to special reduced program costs
- complimentary UTS Insurance for the duration of the overseas program
- support from UTS throughout the application process
You may also be eligible for a range of funding options such as OS-HELP loans.
BUILD Leadership Program
If you are interested in short-term overseas opportunities, you should consider joining UTS’s BUILD leadership program. BUILD offers you a great opportunity to extend your learning and gain leadership experiences while at UTS. The program is free to join and open to all UTS students.
Note: Most BUILD activities are extra-curricular and usually not for credit, while short-term overseas partner programs have been approved for credit by faculties in 2014.
BUILD also offers a number of travel grants to support students to travel overseas on its programs, which you may be eligible for if undertaking a short-term overseas partner program.
