Before you depart for a UTS global exchange or short program, there’s one essential step that supports everything else — travel insurance.
UTS travel insurance is designed to support students studying overseas on approved programs, providing medical, safety and travel assistance so you can focus on your experience with confidence.
Policy cover
If you’re travelling on an approved UTS global exchange or short program, travel insurance is automatically included for the official duration of your study or up to a maximum of 365 days from the date of travel. If your trip is likely to go over 365 days, contact Insurance at insurance@uts.edu.au.
If you travel before or after your coverage period, you must be covered by private/leisure travel insurance. This can be purchased with Travel Insurance Saver or a provider of your choice.
Claims
UTS Insurance is a pay and claim policy (except in medical emergencies where it is approved by UTS Insurance).
This means that you pay upfront and then claim for reimbursement. All receipts will be needed – so make sure to keep them!
All claims, and circumstances which may result in a claim, should be promptly reported via email at insurance@uts.edu.au
