Technical and login difficulties
If you can't access My Student Admin:
Check whether you are able to open another web page in your browser (try http://www.uts.edu.au/). If you are not able to access other web pages, you will need to check your computer configuration to ensure that you are correctly connected to the Internet.
If you can't login into My Student Admin:
Subject enrolment problems
You may see error messages during your online course enrolment process. This is because the web enrolment system is enforcing rules or restrictions known as subject access conditions that your faculty has set up.
Subject enrolment error messages may relate to:
- full load,
- quotas (this error provides no explanation apart from stating that changes could not be saved), and
Even when there are rule or restrictions preventing your enrolment in a particular subject it may be possible to have them waived if you submit an eRequest.
It is possible that your subject enrolment may have multiple problems. If this is the case, the error displayed will be the first problem the system picks up. You must submit separate e-Requests to deal with each problem.

Subject availability web enrolment error messages
These will appear if you are attempting to enrol in a location and session combination (known as an availability) not intended for you.
Some availabilities are only available to:
- offshore students, or
- students in certain fee categories.
This an error message where there is no appeal mechanism via eRequest.
Subject load web enrolment error messages
All courses have a limit enforced on how many credit points of subjects you can enrol in in any one session.
An eRequest can be used to request enrolment in a subject that will take you over the credit point limit. The subject access conditions for your course may give some guidance as to the circumstances that would need to apply for such a request to be successful.
Subject quota web enrolment error messages
Once enrolments have reached the quota no further enrolments are permitted.
While every effort is made to accommodate student demand for each subject, there comes a time when further expansion is impossible.
Should any students withdraw, places would again become available.
This error provides not explanation apart from stating that changes could not be saved.
Subject requisites web enrolment error messages
The error messages for subject based academic requisites and admission requisites are identical.
An academic requisite may require:
specific subjects as co-requisites or pre-requisites
the need to have accumulated a specific number of credit points in your course before attempting a subject.
Admission requisites are used to restrict access to certain subjects to students in specific courses or groups of courses. For example, a graduate subject may be restricted to students admitted to graduate courses.
Sometimes admission requisites are put on subjects simply to ensure that students who have to do the subject get priority. These subjects are often opened up to students who wish to take them as electives one week before the session begins.
For both academic requisites and admission requisites you should refer to the subject access conditions, if you think your circumstances justify it, submit an e-Request to request enrolment.
Other requisites are used where the faculty owning the subject wants you to:
- do something prior to enrolment, or
- demonstrate readiness before you are permitted to enrol.

You can submit an eRequest to express interest in enrolling in the subject, and even to submit a document giving evidence that you have met the conditions.
