Each of our Schools has a Responsible Academic Officer (RAO) who is typically the Deputy Head of School for Research. The School RAO acts on behalf of the Head of School for all research-related matters pertaining to the strategic oversight along with the academic and administrative recommendations regarding research in your School.
Each School also has a School Academic Officer (SAO) to provide research support to the RAO and their unit. This includes research-related matters for staff as well as all internal aspects of Higher Degree by Research.
