Joint Research Centre for Wise Information Systems
The joint research centre for Wise Information Systems between UTS and Shanghai University (SHU) seeks to establish long term and sustainable research collaboration between the two institutions in the wise information systems research area to benefit both universities. The joint research centre will also strengthen research training for research students in both institutions, as the students will have comprehensive research supervision from experienced research academics from both universities.

Joint Research Centre for Intelligent Systems
The joint research centre for intelligent systems between UTS and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) seeks to establish long term and sustainable research collaboration between the two institutions in the intelligent system research area to benefit both universities. The joint research centre will also strengthen research training for research students in both institutions, as the students will have comprehensive research supervision from experienced research academics from both universities.

The joint centre seeks to establish long term and sustainable research collaboration between UTS and Beijing Institute of Technology in the data mining and service technology areas to benefit both universities. The joint centre will also strengthen research training for research students in both institutions, as the students will have comprehensive research supervision from experienced research academics from both universities.
UTS–Huazhong University of Science and Technology
Joint Research Centre for Cyber-Physical Authentication
The joint research centre will establish world-first technological capability, combining UTS' advanced machine learning software with Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST)'s cutting-edge sensing and tagging hardware, to dramatically boost global government and industry attempts to combat fraud, and counterfeit currency and products.
UTS-Ontario Tech University
Joint Research Centre in AI for Health and Wellness
The joint research centre in Artificial Intelligence for Health and Wellness between UTS and Ontario Tech University supports sustained, multidisciplinary collaboration in AI with current projects spanning streaming physiological data and mathematical physiological models in extreme environments, glucose monitoring in type 1 diabetes, wearable‑based stress prediction, and digital twins of satellite movement in space. The centre also strengthens joint research training through a cotutelle PhD program.
We’re pleased to announce the five‑year renewal of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) in AI for Health and Wellness between UTS and Ontario Tech University, co‑directed by Prof Carolyn McGregor AM and Prof Paul Kennedy. UTS members also include Prof Dan Catchpoole, Dr Madhushi Bandara, Dr Tobias Cibis and Prof Elise van den Hoven.
