The research considered:

  1. evidence of progress in the company’s sustainability journey over the past five years;
  2. most significant sustainability issues outstanding and
  3. engagement road-maps/milestones for addressing those issues. A team of trans-disciplinary Institute for Sustainable Futures (ISF) researchers completed a high-level qualitative review of sustainability progress of the most significant sustainability issues based on publicly available data and information, including assessment against well accepted, relevant, and issues-focused sustainability frameworks and benchmarks as well as peer comparison.

Reflections were made on the overall sustainability governance and topics ranging from climate change, circular economy, and nature-related issues to diversity and inclusion. The researchers provided a report to the investors that summarised the company’s progress in its sustainability journey over the past five years, the most significant issues outstanding and engagement priorities for addressing the issues. This provided insights for the investors to support consideration of investment options, discuss critical sustainability points and inform decision making.
