Students from Big Picture Learning Australia (BPLA) who are applying to UTS can benefit from our admissions scheme designed to recognise the unique educational approach of the program.
This scheme recognises the personalised, real-world focused education provided by BPLA, aligning with UTS’s emphasis on practical and innovative learning experiences.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this admissions pathway, applicants must:
- be currently enrolled in or have graduated from a BPLA-affiliated school.
- present the International Big Picture Learning Credential (IBPLC), which reflects a broad range of skills and experiences.
The Big Picture Learning Australia portfolio pathway excludes admission into courses with special requirements which are outlined on the Domestic undergraduate eligibility webpage.
How to apply
- Submit a UAC application: Apply to your chosen UTS course through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) by 29 October 2026.
- Submit Portfolio and supporting documents: Submit your BPLA digital portfolio and personal statement to access.schemes@uts.edu.au by 29 October 2026. Your BPLA digital portfolio should include any relevant supporting documents detailing your internships, projects, and other real-world experiences. Your personal statement should highlight how your BPLA education has prepared you for study at UTS.
- Submit Credential: Submit your International Big Picture Learning Credential to access.schemes@uts.edu.au by 20 November 2026.
- Attend a faculty interview: Applicants will be invited to attend an interview with a relevant faculty staff member between 24 November 2026 and 9 December 2026. Interviews will play a critical role in the assessment process.

UTS will make offers to successful applicants on Wednesday 23 December 2026.
