Site licensed software
UTS has a limited number of site licensed in place. These site licenses provide access to you to these applications for home use while you are a UTS student.
Use of these licenses by you is no longer valid when you are no longer a UTS student.
UTS Alumni do not have access to site licensed software.
Installing site licensed software
Each software application has a specific installation method. Most of the access conditions and links to the files are available from our ServiceConnect Knowledge Base. Click to select the specific software application and relevant instructions and installation files will be available for each software application.
The software applications covered by a UTS site license include:
- EndNote, Create, store and organise references quickly and easily
- Nvivo, Qualitative software package
- Mathematica, Computation, development and deployment software
- Read&Write (opens an external site) a literacy software with literacy features help English Language Learners, as well as people with dyslexia or other learning difficulties
Office 365 subscription
Office 365 is a subscription cloud based productivity suite based available to all UTS students.
Sign into Office 365, and start using all the applications available through this cloud based subscription.
You can download and install Office applications on up to five devices.
Use your firstname.lastname@example.org to sign in and use your IT password.
For example email@example.com.

Read&Write is available to you while you are a UTS Student. You can install Read&Write on your home computer.
Install Read&Write on your computer from the Texthelp website. Follow the instructions relevant to your computer.

Start using Read&Write
Once you complete your installation of Read&Write, the application is available for you to open from your computer.
View your applications and select Read&Write.
You will be asked to sign in with Google or Microsoft.
Choose to sign in with Microsoft.
To sign in with Microsoft use your firstname.lastname@example.org.
For example: email@example.com

Access to site licensed software
For access to UTS Site license software, you can also search for the software you require in the online knowledge base in ServiceConnect. Please note that Terms and Conditions apply to you when you are installing UTS licensed software on your computer.
Please note licensed software does not apply to UTS Alumnus. UTS Alumni do not have access to site licensed software.
