What you’ll study
You'll complete core subjects addressing the juxtaposition of sound and the moving image, ethical creative practice, and entrepreneurship. In your Media Arts and Production stream you’ll begin exploring and defining your creative vision as a screen practitioner and storyteller, while gaining practical competencies in creating a range of screen productions from drama to documentary. You’ll also broaden and enhance your knowledge and experience by choosing from our range of future-focused Creative Production and Communication electives.
Meanwhile, you'll engage with your Law studies, covering ethics, evidence, contracts, civil practice, international law and more.
The honours component in law comprises two research subjects enabling you to develop advanced research, critical analysis and communication skills that can be used in further higher degree research such as Master of laws or PhD.
Skills you'll develop
In your Creative Production degree, you’ll get the chance to build skills and a professional creative portfolio. This program will shape you into an experienced screen media professional, giving you the tools to effectively carry out every stage of the production journey. The Law program will give you the opportunity to acquire knowledge of fundamental legal theory and practice and meet the academic requirements for admission to practise law in NSW.

Industry accreditation
This course satisfies the academic requirements for admission to the Supreme Court of NSW as a lawyer. Once completed, you’ll also need to complete a practical legal training program, such as the Graduate Certificate in Professional Legal Practice (available at UTS) to be eligible for admission as a lawyer.
