The Behavioural Lab researchers in the Lab

The leadership and members of the UTS Behavioural Lab are drawn from all areas of the UTS Business School, which contributes to the Behavioural Lab’s multidisciplinary approach to solving problems.

Director

Adrian Camilleri smiling headshot

Associate Professor Adrian Camilleri is an associate professor of marketing at UTS Business School. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a Master’s degree in organisational psychology, and a PhD in cognitive psychology, all from the University of New South Wales in Sydney. He completed postdoctoral training in marketing and management at Duke University. He uses experimental and survey research methods to understand, explain, and predict the cognitive processes underlying judgment and decision-making, and the application of this knowledge to environmental, financial, managerial, and consumption contexts.

 

Deputy Director

Elif Incekara-Hafalir

Dr Elif Incekara-Hafalir is a senior lecturer of economics at the UTS Business School. Her expertise is in the field of behavioural and experimental economics. She received her PhD from Penn State University and has since worked at Carnegie Mellon University before joining UTS in 2017. Her research focuses on the impact of time and risk preferences, social preferences, and how these factors influence decision-making in various contexts. Her research spans a range of domains, including education, gender, labour markets, and financial decision-making. Her research methodology involves lab and field experiments.
