Navin Uttam

Navin Uttam Thumbnail Master of Business TechnologyWith over 15 years of global IT experience, I was looking for a course that would enable me to excel in a globally competitive business environment. It quickly became apparent that MBT was a long way ahead of the curve. I am now in my second year and the MBT continues to transform both my personal and professional life.

The subjects and course material, which are facilitated by lecturers from industry, are extremely relevant to my professional practice. The learnings are insightful and are imparted through deep thinking and classroom interactions with an outstanding cohort, and the real-life case studies presented by expert guest lecturers are immensely valuable. The MBT community is also quite active, well networked and always ready to assist.

Miryana Penuvcevski

Master of Business and Technology IT Business postgraduate courses miryana penuvcevskiMy motivation for joining the MBT program was the desire to progress my business skills to complement my technical background. I was seeking tools, frameworks and models. What I found instead, was a much deeper, more profound set of skills that are universally applicable to my professional and personal life.

I have found the program highly relevant to industry and immediately value-adding as the assessments are work related. It is evident that the lecturers are thought leaders and together with a cohort of high calibre students, they enhance the experience through a mutual exchange of experiences and perspectives. There’s a real sense of community; a generous one at that.

The MBT program is challenging, but very gratifying.

Lee Challoner-Miles

Lee Challoner-Miles Thumbnail Master of Business TechnologyI am a second year MBT student and an IT professional with over 20 years’ experience. Having originally intended to study an MIT, I arrived at a UTS information evening with an open mind. As someone who holds an executive role in strategy at Australia's largest financial institution, it was clear from the outset I would benefit far more from the MBT course.

All the subjects I have studied have enhanced my skills and given me the ability to apply what I’ve learned in real life. The calibre of lecturers and industry expertise within the MBT provides a quality learning experience for the students. The MBT community as a whole provides a network of likeminded individuals that are always keen to support and help you throughout your learning experience and your ongoing career.

Craig Schwarze

Craig Schwarze Master Of Business and TechnologyI commenced the MBT to develop and improve my leadership skills. I had looked at several masters degrees and decided that this one had the best curriculum. The course has been more enjoyable and stimulating than I expected.

The course material is excellent, and is much more insightful and sophisticated than anything I've come across in popular management books. One of the most useful aspects has been the classroom interaction with peers across the industry. My professional network has increased greatly as a result.

I have seen my career progress substantially over the last few years, and I give much of the credit to this course. I cannot recommend it highly enough to ambitious technology professionals.

Ivan Romero

Ivan Romero Master of Business TechnologyMy MBT journey has had a big impact on me, both personally and professionally. The excellent quality of the lecturers, the seniority of my peers, the sound material, and a good dose of ‘tough love' have allowed me to see beyond technology and into what makes people and businesses tick.

My advice for new students is to arrive on the first day with an open mind, challenge yourself to do more, broaden your skills through the MBT Group Linkedin group or the Toastmasters Club network with your fellow students as much as you can, and then work a little harder. The MBT will provide you with new mental models, frameworks and ideas that will change how you see yourself and your career.
