Eng Chew is Professor of Business and IT Strategy at UTS where he held the UTS-Gartner Chair of Business and IT Strategy from 2005-2008. Eng’s research interest is on the interplay of strategy, innovation and leadership practices, particularly in the context of value co-creation by service and business model innovation. He is the former Chief Information Officer of Singtel Optus and has held senior leadership positions with Telstra Research Laboratories, Australian Centre for Unisys Software, and Digital Equipment Corporation. He is also the recipient of the National Research Fund (FNR) Luxembourg INTER/MOBILITY Research Grant (2015 – 2018)
Ken is Associate Professor, School of Systems, Management and Leadership, and Director of the Master of Business and Technology at UTS. He was formerly Chair in Leadership Studies at Rhodes University in South Africa (1988-1999). He has consulted on leadership to global organisations (such as Johnson & Johnson and Mercedes Benz), governments (South Africa, Nigeria, Australia, NSW); supranational organisations (such as ASEAN); third sector organisations in several countries; and many small and medium sized businesses in Australia and South Africa. His research interests include leadership for innovation, and learning and knowledge generation.
Tudor is currently the Executive Manager, Agile & Lean at Suncorp. He has worked and consulted in a number of leading organisations and universities in South Africa, Switzerland and Australia, with a focus on business transformation, business and process excellence, modelling and analytics. Tudor has a doctorate in organisational theory, corporate governance and sustainability from the University of St Gallen in Switzerland and has published a number of articles in peer reviewed journals. He is the facilitator of Managing Organisational Change within the MBT.
David has built a career in IT and finance and has held a number of senior management positions in the ICT industry. Passionate about developing Australia‘s IT management talent, in 2004 he created Australia‘s first dedicated postgraduate IT governance subject as part of the MBT. Currently employed by Google Australia, David teaches the Marketing Technology subject of the MBT.
For more than three decades Rob Livingstone has amassed senior managerial experience, substantially as CIO in multinational corporations. In addition to running his advisory and mentoring practice, Livingstone Advisory, he is an author and media commentator, providing authoritative, independent insights on a range of IT topics including emerging technologies, privacy, business risk and governance, IT security and career disruption.
His latest book Direction through Disruption, deals with one of the most serious career challenges facing us today – how to plan and pursue a successful career in the age of globalisation and disruptive digital technologies. His earlier book, Navigating through the Cloud, has provided invaluable insight to a wide range of corporations weighing up the risks and rewards that so many new technologies embody.
Andrew Abdo is currently the Executive Manager, Strategy and Business, at the National Rugby League (NRL) where his focus is on commercial growth projects. He was previously a director at Deloitte Consulting where he focused on strategy and operations advisory services. Andrew is a qualified chartered accountant and has 15 years’ experience in corporate finance, strategy and management consulting and education. Andrew is visiting faculty at the University of Technology in Sydney and the University of Pretoria’s business school where he teaches strategy, business and corporate finance.
