Discover the Bachelor of Forensic Science

This degree is created by acclaimed researchers, practitioners and industry partners who shape the future of forensic science. You'll learn the scientific methods that make you effective in the laboratory, crime scene and courtroom.

Specialise with an exciting major that you’ll begin from as early as your first semester, like our unique digital forensics major. These subjects will enable you to trace the origin of cyberattacks, uncover fraud and learn cryptography and programming. UTS is the only university in Australia where you can study a digital forensics major within a science degree.

You can also undertake a chemistry, biology or crime scene investigation major.

Discover the Master of Forensic Science

Become a leader in forensic science. You’ll work with advanced scientific techniques, and sharpen your research and professional skills. The course is designed by leading academics and practitioners in the field, so you’ll graduate with an understanding of the challenges and priorities of the forensic science industry.

If you’re interested in postgraduate research, the Master of Forensic Science (Extension) provides an opportunity to transfer into a PhD pathway.

  • An empty and extremely large super laboratory for science students

    Science Super Lab

    The first of its kind in Australia, the high-tech Super Lab can be reconfigured to support multiple classes simultaneously or a large class of up to 200 students.

    These labs are designed for forensic science students to practise the latest techniques in microscopy, fingerprint development, advanced imaging techniques and other key skills.
