What you’ll study
You'll commence your Law studies with a range of core subjects, building your familiarity with topics like remedies, evidence and Constitutional law. Then, you'll have the opportunity to acquire forward-focused insights through the Legal Futures and Technology Major or study topics of particular interest through your choice of Options subjects.
Your Communications studies will see you establish a broad understanding of the discipline before specialising in your chosen stream. Here, you'll cover topics like self and society, political ideas and change and policy and advocacy before completing a professional placement.

Course highlights
This program is designed to give you practical and theoretical capabilities in policy, political science, sociology and law. You'll get the chance to complete hands-on research, internships and fieldwork in two discrete disciplines and graduate having completed the academic requirements for admission as a lawyer to the NSW Supreme Court.

Industry accreditation
This course satisfies the academic requirements for admission to the Supreme Court of NSW as a lawyer. Once completed, you will also need to complete a practical legal training program, such as the Graduate Certificate in Professional Legal Practice (available at UTS) to be eligible for admission as a lawyer.
