My project is actually looking at how we can improve cancer services in low and middle-income countries. The health care system is actually a complex system, and you can't just go in without assessing the various needs to actually implement a quality program. And the only way you can actually improve it is by undertaking critical research. At the end of the four years, I'm hoping to develop a tool, an assessment tool, that will help policymakers implement strategic programs to improve those services. For example: radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgery, and palliative care.

As a postgraduate research student, you will be part of a team conducting multidisciplinary, ethical, and scientifically rigorous clinical and non-clinical studies on issues at the forefront of palliative care, aged care, chronic care, and cancer supportive care.
