The CCTGs are committed to engaging and consulting with people affected by cancer, including cancer patients, survivors, carers and families. The process of involving community representatives helps shape decision-making and improve health outcomes and the overall health system.  

These community representatives are typically referred to as ‘consumers’ and form ‘Consumer Advisory Panels (CAPs)’ or ‘Consumer Advisory Groups (CAGs)’ or similar.  

Each CCTG will have their own processes for consumer involvement.
