Improving access to cancer treatment in low income countries – Faculty of Health, UTS

Andrew Donkor, PhD Candidate - My project is actually looking at how we can improve kinds of services in lower middle-income countries. The health care system is actually a complex system, and you can't just go in without assessing the various needs to actually implement a quality program. And the only way you can actually improve it is actually undertaking critical research. At the end of the four years I'm hoping to develop a tool, an assessment tool that will help policymakers implement strategic programs to improve those services. For example: radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgery, and palliative care.
