Practical Entrepreneurship is a 60-hour fully online, self-directed course teaching tech-enabled entrepreneurship through hands-on missions based on the proven Rapid Value Creation (RVC) methodology.

This course introduces a systematic approach to entrepreneurship grounded in data-driven methods and market insights – not visionary ideas, passion, or luck. It's about achieving results through persistent effort and smart decision-making.

  • Launch e-commerce stores – Set up your own Etsy store to sell products
  • Create content – Publish low and no-content books on Amazon KDP, create faceless YouTube content
  • Digital marketing skills – Learn social media advertising with Facebook and TikTok
  • Market validation – Use landing pages and ads to analyse whether there's a market for your product
  • Build a portfolio – Create side projects that strengthen university and job applications.

Mission-based learning

The course consists of 8 practical missions where you implement real projects and learn by doing:

  1. Starting a Business in Australia
  2. Etsy Store Setup
  3. Amazon KDP Publishing
  4. YouTube/Blogging
  5. TikTok Content Creation
  6. Facebook Advertising
  7. Due Diligence & Digital Property
  8. Reflection & Next Steps

Assessment

Two reflective assessments:

  1. Process journal – Document your learning journey and mission outcomes
  2. Next steps plan – Strategic planning for your entrepreneurial future.

UTS marking: All assessments marked and feedback provided by UTS.
