The UTS Alumni Career Service provides the following services for students and recent graduates.
UTS Careers is dedicated to providing recent UTS Alumni (within 2 years of course completion) with accessible, timely and tailored advice, no matter where you are.
As such, for now, our Drop-in appointments and Career Consultations will take place online.
Like our previous in-person appointments, these 15-minute Virtual Drop-in sessions with our Recruitment Advisors are available Monday-Friday, and can be booked online.

Grad Career Week
If you are a graduate within 2 years of course completion, Grad Career Week is designed to help your employment prospects by developing your confidence in applying for jobs and navigating the recruitment process. Bringing you exciting events, intimate workshops with career professionals, and loads of opportunities to connect with industry and get career-ready. Workshops include topics such as Resumes & Cover Letters, Interview Techniques, LinkedIn and Salary Negotiation. This program is free for eligible participants – additional details are available on the program’s website.
Applying for a job can be daunting. Our Alumni Career Coach can help recent graduates through the recruitment process. Were currently providing 45 minute appointments online - so whether you’re based in Sydney, interstate or overseas, you can still receive support.
Our Alumni Career Coach can help you with a variety of topics, including:
- Job search strategies
- Resume or cover letter review
- Interview preparation
- LinkedIn profile review
- General recruitment related queries

Our jobseeker interface, CareerHub, is available to all current students and recent graduates, within two years of course completion date, free of charge.
Through CareerHub you can:
- Search the job board to view and apply for current vacancies
- Register for a place at upcoming alumni careers events
- Access additional career related resources
- View your appointments and event bookings
Rate My Resume
Have your resume reviewed instantly – day or night – and receive feedback on what you can improve on, to ensure you’re giving your best in your next job application!

Professional Mentoring Program
This program is an online flash mentoring platform designed to connect students and recent graduates with industry professionals. UTS alumni, staff and external industry professionals are eligible to join as a mentor volunteer flash. UTS students and recent graduates across all faculties and levels of study are eligible to join as a mentee. To learn more or join the community – visit the program’s website.
We are always looking for opportunities for our students and graduates to enter the workforce. If you’re responsible for recruitment or hiring in your role, you may wish to advertise opportunities through our CareerHub.

Other alumni career services
Our career service team are focused on serving students and new graduates looking for entry level career positions. Alumni beyond 2 years of course completion date needing career support such as testing, assessment, coaching, or multi-session advising should seek a local career adviser through the directory of advisers recommended by the Career Development Association of Australia.
