Moving on up
UTS sits amongst the best universities of the world, rising to 194 in the Times Higher Education World University Ranking.
The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) has jumped two spots in the 2020 Times Higher Education World University Ranking, climbing to 194.
The Times ranking compares 1396 institutions across the globe based on their teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
“In these Times rankings, we’ve jumped around 200 places in the past seven years – an incredible result in a short space of time, and recognition of the hard work and successes of our staff, students, alumni, and partners.
While rankings results are only one indicator it does align with the fundamental transformation of UTS over the last decade.

“While rankings results are only one indicator it does align with the fundamental transformation of UTS over the last decade. More broadly UTS is continuing to be acknowledged as a leading university of technology, and recognised for our global impact.
“We can never be complacent however and our new UTS 2027 strategy continues our focus of investment in state-of-the-art facilities, commitment to driving innovation and entrepreneurship, implementing new learning approaches and support for our students and delivering impactful research,” Brungs said.
