Congratulations to AAII’s Professor Xiaojun Chang on his 2025 Highly Cited Researcher recognition by Clarivate.

The Australian Artificial Intelligence Institue's (AAII’s) Professor Oscar Xiaojun Chang has been named a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher in the Cross-Field category for 2025, recognising his expertise in artificial intelligence, computer vision, multimedia, neural networks, and machine learning.

The Highly Cited Researchers list honours the most influential researchers whose published work is frequently cited by peers and ranks in the top 1% by citations for their field and year in the Web of Science.

This year’s recognition reflects Professor Chang’s sustained record of research excellence. He was previously named a Highly Cited Researcher in Computer Science (2024) and in the Cross-Field category (2023, 2021, 2020, 2019).

Professor Chang is one of ten UTS academics included in the 2025 Clarivate list, highlighting UTS’s growing global research impact.
