ACOS hosted the symposium Fifa in Crisis? Professor John Sugden (University of Brighton) told the story of 'The Busting of FIFA's Badfellas and the validation of the book that Sepp Blatter tried to ban'. In his presentation Professor Sugden set the story of Sepp Blatter’s and FIFA’s failed legal attempts to prevent his co-authoured book (Badfellas) from being published. This was set against the back-drop of the corruption scandal and contextualised more broadly with reference to FIFA’s post-colonial history and distinctive organisational framing. The discussion panel included:
Bonita Mersiades - New FIFA Now
Associate Professor Daryl Adair - UTS Business School
Professor David Rowe - University of Western Sydney
Professor Tracy Taylor - UTS Business School
Dr. Stephen Frawley - UTS Business School
