Changes to billing from January 2027
From 1 January 2027, UTS Health Service will introduce mixed billing for some patients as part of changes to support the ongoing delivery and sustainability of the service.
- Current UTS students will continue to be bulk billed for eligible Medicare services, with no change to existing billing arrangements for students.
- Some non-student patients, including UTS staff, family members, alumni and other eligible patients, may be required to pay a private consultation fee. Medicare rebates may apply where eligible.
- Detailed fee information, including billing arrangements and any applicable exemptions, will be published on the Fees and Billing page before the changes take effect.

Attendance policy
The UTS Health Service strives to provide high-quality health services through a system of booked appointments. Due to the demand for services, there are occasions when we cannot provide appointments at the requested time.
To assist us in providing services for all patients we appreciate if you:
- Arrive on time for your appointment
- Check in at the reception desk when you arrive
- If you no longer require the appointment, cancel your appointment at least 3 hours in advance.
You are responsible for your appointment.
- If you do not attend a scheduled appointment or provide 3 hours notice of cancellation, this information will be recorded.
- If you do not attend your scheduled appointment or provide 3 hours notice to cancel your appointment on more than one occasion you will be charged a non-attendance fee (currently $40), so we urge you to contact us if you cannot attend your appointment.
You will only be permitted to attend this practice for a further appointment following payment of the non-attendance fee. The non-attendance fee will not be claimable from Medicare or private health insurance.
