Welcome to UTS Central
Bailey Neate – Lawyer, Chambers Russell Lawyers
"The UTS Juris Doctor appealed to me because it focuses on assessments which examine a student’s ability to apply the law to real-world scenarios rather than simply testing their ability to rote-learn and recite legal theory."
Practical Legal Training
Practical Legal Training (PLT) is the last step before being admitted to practice as a lawyer. At UTS, we offer Practical Legal Training through our Graduate Diploma in Professional Legal Practice, which you can study as a combined degree with the Juris Doctor.
The Practical Legal Training requirements are integrated into your Juris Doctor course seamlessly, meaning you’ll be able to complete the requirements faster and start you career as a lawyer sooner.

Beverly Ng – Senior Lawyer, NSW Department of Customer Service
