Studying a Bachelor of Criminology and Forensic Science at UTS has helped fuel Olivia's desire to make a difference in people’s lives.

Olivia Daffy headshot.

I’ve always been really interested in the psychology of crime, why people do what they do, and I knew I wanted to study something that had a lot of variety.

Studying a Bachelor of Criminology and Forensic Science at UTS has helped me fuel my desire to make a difference in people’s lives, while giving back and helping people.

The learning experience has been amazing, the labs are so hands on and you really get to put what you have learned into practice. It's really exciting to be able to wholeheartedly enjoy what I'm studying.

The professors genuinely care, and the classes are really interactive. We research theories of crime and discuss how they have evolved.

I’m the secretary of the Criminology Society, which has been such a great way to meet people and hear from professionals working in the field. You’re always talking to new people and making connections.

Moving to Sydney was a big step, but I’ve found my people here. Everyone’s really welcoming, and I feel like I belong.

I’ve always dreamed of doing something bigger and being here at UTS, studying what I’m passionate about, makes it feel real.
