My career in adult education spans corporate, community and academic settings. Like many of the HELPS staff I have studied here at UTS which gives me an understanding of academic requirements from the inside.  Often I find that just talking through an assignment problem with students who come to HELPS will make things clearer and I love seeing students' confidence improve.  My main interest outside of work is travel, so meeting so many different students each day makes my job fascinating.

My international tertiary academic career began 28 years ago (1997 – 2025).  To date, I have taught at various universities and high-level educational institutions in Singapore, Australia, United Kingdom and Ireland. Throughout my professional career, I have always adopted a holistic approach to learning which helped to contribute to both the academic and personal goals of the students. My interdisciplinary academic background also provided me with various opportunities to support students from different faculties and departments including fostering graduate attributes and lifelong learning skills within the tertiary learning experience. In addition to my academic teaching background, I am also a registered therapist/counsellor with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).
