Information for guests

Graduates may bring up to two guests to their graduation ceremony, unless otherwise advised. 

Venue capacity 

On rare occasions, the number of participants at a ceremony exceeds capacity. In this instance the university will contact graduates to inform them of guest limits. Alternatively, you may need to be reassigned to another ceremony. 

Parking 

There is limited parking available at the UTS City campus due to ongoing construction works. Please visit UTS Facilities Management for up-to-date information on parking availability near the City campus.

Public transport

Broadway is well serviced by buses and trains, with Central Station just a 10-minute walk from the campus.

 

Transport NSW (opens an external site) has comprehensive travel information and timetables for trains, buses and ferries around Sydney. 

Accessibility assistance 

UTS has a limited number of accessible parking places and these cannot be booked in advance.

 

Please note that the graduation hall is equipped with a hearing induction loop. If you have other special access or seating requirements, please let us know and we’ll be happy to help. 

Photography

To ensure the safety and comfort of everyone, all guests who wish to take their own photos and videos during the ceremony are directed to use the areas of the hall designated for the purpose. 

Services and memorabilia

Photography services are provided on City campus by GFP Studios.

A testamur framing and plaque service is provided at City campus graduations by Jackson Frames.

 

Acknowledgement of Country

UTS acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the Boorooberongal people of the Dharug Nation, the Bidiagal people and the Gamaygal people, upon whose ancestral lands our university stands. We would also like to pay respect to the Elders both past and present, acknowledging them as the traditional custodians of knowledge for these lands.
