Special Course subjects provide postgraduate engineering students with a flexible approach to completing the requirements of their course in the following ways:
Students may need to enrol in a subject worth less than the normal 6 credit points to meet the total number of credit points required to complete their course. In such a case, a small project is identified and completed to make up the required credit points.
Students can complete one or more special projects supervised by a member of academic staff of the faculty.
Credit can be gained by completing one or more short courses offered by UTS:Engineering or other approved providers.
Enrolment in a Special Course subject requires the approval of the Director, Teaching and Learning (see Faculty contacts), and the student must be able to demonstrate a need that is consistent with the other requirements of their course.
