Teach English, literacy, and numeracy to adult learners in vocational education settings. Gain the knowledge and skills needed to empower adult learners with the literacy and numeracy skills they need to participate fully in society.

Overview

Adult education plays a vital role in supporting individuals to develop foundational skills that are essential for employment, further education, and active citizenship. This stream equips you with the pedagogical knowledge and practical skills to teach English as an additional language, literacy, and numeracy to adults from diverse backgrounds, including migrants, refugees, and those re-engaging with education.

Through supervised practicum placements, you’ll apply your learning in real-world adult learning contexts. The stream is designed to meet the needs of both pre-service and in-service educators.
