Overview
Adult education plays a vital role in supporting individuals to develop foundational skills that are essential for employment, further education, and active citizenship. This stream equips you with the pedagogical knowledge and practical skills to teach English as an additional language, literacy, and numeracy to adults from diverse backgrounds, including migrants, refugees, and those re-engaging with education.
You’ll explore how to design and deliver learner-centred programs that respond to the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse adult learners. Through supervised practicum placements, you’ll apply your learning in real-world adult learning contexts. The stream is designed to meet the needs of both pre-service and in-service educators.
