The Bachelor of Fashion Business is a future-focused, interdisciplinary course to prepare you for diverse careers in the dynamic and evolving global fashion industry. In this innovative undergraduate program, you will gain the business acumen and industry insight required to navigate and lead in contemporary fashion business environments. First year
You’ll start with the basics of economics through a fashion industry lens, learning to understand how change occurs in the interconnected systems within, including in fashion businesses. Through the introduction of concepts of leadership and organisational theory, you’ll be introduced to fashion as social and cultural phenomena while learning about the world-shaping potential of design. -
Second year
You'll continue by expanding into the diversity of for-profit and not-for-profit business models in the fashion industry, and continue to deepen your understanding of design’s world-making potential in the fashion industry. You'll be introduced to key management concepts, as well as legal and regulatory frameworks and complete an internship to activate your learning in a live industry context. -
Third year
Finally, you'll gain an overview of the technologies shaping the fashion industry and its operations, including generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI), blockchain and machine learning and how these impact fashion business. Through key theories and practices in innovation, you’ll learn about the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape in fashion in Australia and internationally, and get the opportunity to take on a capstone project working with an industry partner.
