International Group of Academics

UTS partners with a wide range of international universities, research centres, not-for-profits and the private sector to deliver solutions to global issues for people and the planet while also delivering internationally-relevant programs to students from Australia and overseas.

Global Partnerships

We identify and develop partnerships with universities and other organisations overseas that provide opportunities for UTS to build global networks that staff and students can access to further their own professional and personal development, including research collaboration, research training, student engagement and international opportunities.

At UTS, we pride ourselves on our strong international ties. We grow these alliances by delivering:

  • dual degree programs
  • sponsored exchange of researchers
  • collaborative research
  • exchange opportunities
  • recognition of prior learning
  • collaborative online learning
  • articulation programs

Study Abroad and Exchange

Through one of Australia's most comprehensive Study Abroad and Exchange programs, UTS students gain a range of personal and professional development skills and experiences to enhance their future careers.

To drive internationalisation and intercultural competencies, UTS provides a range of opportunities for students to undertake a short period or a semester of study overseas, with a partner institution or third-party provider, to gain international experience; enhancing the breadth and depth of their studies and supporting the development of positive and competent global citizens. Global Mobility Programs also provide a critical breadth of cultural diversity on campus, through bringing students from partner institutions and education agents to spend a semester or two on campus at UTS.

International Leadership Development

Professional development at UTS is further strengthened through BUILD (Beyond UTS International Leadership Development) – a program designed to develop students' leadership and competencies as global citizens, equipping them to deliver positive social impact around the world. UTS’s commitment to global learning ensures our students receive flexible, real-world and personalised learning experiences. In this way, UTS creates an international community of adaptive learners and thinkers.

Acknowledgement of Country

UTS acknowledges the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation and the Boorooberongal People of the Dharug Nation upon whose ancestral lands our campuses now stand. We would also like to pay respect to the Elders both past and present, acknowledging them as the traditional custodians of knowledge for these lands.
