Exchange Student in Germany

International student mobility and intercultural engagement are centrepieces of the UTS model of learning.

UTS offers a wide range of outbound and inbound global mobility programs for students at UTS in Australia and across a vast networks in over 50 countries.

We also offer on-campus and online global learning experiences through the global leadership program, Beyond UTS International Leadership Development (BUILD).

Global Mobility Programs

The Bachelor of International Studies Program

This is a flagship degree that can be combined with all UTS degrees, allowing students to study a language and culture first and then spend a period abroad; either year-long (honours); a session of Global Exchange, or a Global Short Program.

Global Exchange

Exchange programs are opportunities for all UTS students to study abroad for one or two sessions, build global knowledge and gain skills for credit back to their UTS degree.

Global Short Programs

Short programs allow students the opportunity to learn abroad for credit, usually for 2-6 weeks. Students can study at a partner's summer program, learn a language, take a global internship, a virtual program or a work integrated learning experience. Some short programs may be designed by a Faculty, such as a field study or global studio with specific academic goals and learning in mind.

New Colombo Plan (NCP)

Australia has taken pride in promoting a distinctive two-way flow of students between Australia and the Indo-Pacific region through the New Colombo Plan. The plan is a signature initiative of student mobility and a prominent pillar of public diplomacy through which Australian students are positioned as ambassadors when it comes to general connections between Australia and the region.

UTS Study Abroad and Exchange Program

UTS welcomes students from around 50 countries across the globe to study in Sydney for one or two sessions, across all faculties and study areas. We work closely with our exchange and study abroad partner universities and recruitment partners, to ensure a memorable and successful study period at UTS for students.  Students receive credit from their studies at UTS towards their home institution degree.

Scholarships
