The Commonwealth Government's Australian Research Council has reported an evaluation of the research performance of all of Australia's universities in the 2018 Excellence of Research in Australia (ERA) report. Each research area was evaluated against world standards and ranked from 5 (Well Above World Standard) to 1 (Well Below World Standard). UTS Marketing was one of only three Australian universities' marketing disciplines that achieved the top rank of Well Above World Standard.
Our research activities include a number of seminars presented by academics from both UTS Business School and renowned international universities, which are open to the public. We support and supervise research students, both local and from overseas, completing both the Bachelor of Business (Honours) and our PhD program within the UTS Doctor of Philosophy degree. Our researchers collaborate with colleagues in associated UTS research centres, industry partners, and a wide variety of overseas universities.
The Marketing Discipline Group has a strong commitment to research and has a track record of publication (see a list of our recent publications) in top ranked journals and presentations at important international conferences.
The Marketing Discipline Group runs its own PhD program within the structure of the UTS Doctor of Philosophy degree. The PhD degree is structured according to the UTS framework for doctoral education.
