Internships: Shaping Tomorrow's Leaders Today

Hiring interns offers industries a range of benefits, including access to fresh perspectives, cost-effective talent, a pipeline for future recruitment, increased productivity, skill development, diversity and inclusion, and opportunities for corporate social responsibility. By investing in internship programs, industries can position themselves for long-term success and contribute to the growth and sustainability of their respective fields

Internships serve as a training ground for the next generation of professionals. By offering hands-on experience and mentorship opportunities, your company plays a vital role in developing the skills and competencies of future workforce leaders. Investing in intern development not only benefits your company but also contributes to the growth and success of the industry as a whole.

Interns offer industries a wide range of benefits, including fresh perspectives, cost-effective labour, a talent pipeline, increased productivity, skill development, diverse perspectives, and brand ambassadorship. By leveraging these advantages, industries can gain a competitive edge, foster innovation, and drive long-term success.

In our recent employer survey, over 95 per cent of supervisors agree that the students they employ are productive for the company. Employers report that UTS students are prepared, knowledgeable, talented, creative, and possess skills that add value by making a real difference in their organisations. We offer over 7500 students access to rigorous internship programs as part of their industry-recognised courses.

Internships are a great way for your organisation to:

  • help students develop their technical and professional competencies in an authentic environment while you help shape the future of the engineering and IT professions
  • gain access to motivated, talented and innovative students who can contribute to your organisational goals and projects
  • bring future leaders of engineering and IT into your organisation before they graduate, and
  • trial potential new employees for a significant period, typically three or six months for engineering and 9-12 months for information technology, securing the right graduate for your company and solving short-term staffing needs.
