The UTS  Sport & Exercise Science Telepractice Clinic is a not-for-profit teaching and learning clinic that provides quality services to the community.
About the clinic
The services offered in our UTS Sport & Exercise Science Telepractice Clinic are delivered by third-year students enrolled in the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science. All sessions are supervised by highly qualified and experienced Exercise Specialists.
Our clinic provides evidence-based sport and exercise practices to meet the individual needs of each client. Each program begins with an initial assessment to establish the client’s goals and physical capabilities. Based on this, students prescribe and deliver a personalised, evidence-based exercise program.
Clients participate in ten weekly online sessions via Zoom, with the expectation that they actively perform the exercise program during each session.
As this is a teaching clinic for UTS Sport and Exercise Science students working toward accreditation as Exercise Scientists, participation is limited to individuals who meet the criteria of being apparently healthy (e.g., individuals without known medical conditions or injuries requiring clinical supervision).
Program schedule
The UTS Sport & Exercise Science Telepractice runs structured 10-week programs twice a year:
- March to May; and
- August to November.
Please note that the clinic operates in alignment with the UTS academic calendar, and all services are by appointment only.
There will be a short break during each program to coincide with the university teaching break, so sessions will pause briefly before resuming for the remainder of the 10-week schedule.
Client commitment
To ensure a meaningful learning experience for our UTS students, meet accreditation standards, and support client progress, we ask that clients:
- Commit to their scheduled appointments.
- Attend a 45 minute session at the same time and day each week for the full 10-week period (Note: There will be a pause during the university teaching break).
- Actively participate in the exercise program during the Zoom sessions.

As this is a teaching clinic for UTS Sport and Exercise Science students working toward accreditation as Exercise Scientists, client safety is our highest priority. Participation is reserved for individuals who meet the criteria of being apparently healthy (those without known clinical conditions or injuries requiring clinical supervision).
We reserve the right to decline participation if we determine it may not be safe for you. This includes individuals with known clinical conditions. If you do not meet the eligibility criteria, you may not be able to participate in the UTS Telepractice Clinic.
If you are seeking an exercise intervention for the treatment and/or management of a clinical condition or injury, we encourage you to consider looking into participating in our sister program UTS Exercise Physiology Clinic, which may be more suitable for your needs.
