There is a unified research culture and strong research community across the whole of UTS
Research excellence embodies our entire approach to planning, supporting, doing, communicating and translating research
UTS has clearly identified areas of research that are of globally significant scale, depth and credibility
Research ethics, integrity, Workplace Health and Safety and data management are seen as value-add components
Higher degree research students are recognised as a key part of UTS research endeavour

Values and behaviours—define the values and behaviours of UTS research culture and align KPIs
Communications strategy—review communications strategy and explore channels for engagement and dialogue

Achievements to date

High rankings in Australian Research Council’s Excellence in Research for Australia and Engagement and Impact Assessment
Established new whole of university governance in the Research Committee and Research Operations and Strategy Committee
Developed an Indigenous Research Strategy to facilitate a whole of university approach
Reframing of Research Concentrations to align with UTS 2027 is underway
