Who's Afraid of Jason Wing

Emerging Indigenous artist, Jason Wing has courted controversy when his winning entrant for the NSW Aboriginal Art Prize depicting Captain Cook in a mask was censored. Wing’s Chinese-Aboriginal ancestry has been a source of inspiration for his art but has also seen him targeted for being ‘not Aboriginal enough’. This short film looks at a very contemporary Indigenous artistic identity and asks why Jason Wing is provoking so much debate.
